We're excited to announce optimized performance for display ads, a new capability that automatically adjusts your keywords and targeting in real-time to help win the auctions that matter most for your campaign goals.

To support optimized performance, we're also launching new audience insights that provide increased visibility into your display performance. The audience report for optimized performance allows you to:

  • Unpack the audiences driving your results. Understand who your campaign reaches, who engages with it, and how performance varies across different audience segments.
  • Make data-driven decisions with confidence. See performance broken down by purchase behavior, including new-to-category, new-to-brand, and repeat purchasers, and review the impact of your campaigns across the Instacart purchase lifecycle.
  • Test and refine your approach. Love the results you see with new-to-brand customers? Switch to the Acquire objective to double down on what's working.

These insights connect directly to the Instacart purchase lifecycle and your desired business outcomes, helping you understand which consumers your ad reached, how those consumers engaged with your ad, and how this impacted campaign performance. 

 

What's Next

Optimized performance is now available for all display formats. As we continue to invest in objective-driven optimization tools, we're giving you even more tools to drive performance across the full funnel. The following capabilities are now available in open beta with enhanced capabilities:

  • Extend your customer acquisition strategy with the Acquire objective - now available for both sponsored product and shoppable display and shoppable video ads.
  • Help increase the lifetime value of your consumer base and help drive repeat purchases with the Grow objective - available for sponsored products.
